card # 19

I did this card for my sister's birthday, and for the sketch challenge at Cards & Things challenges.http://krista-kris-challenges.blogspot.com/challenge #21
I hope you like it. thanks for looking

looking at this card now, I should have bordered the pink (swiss dot paper) with the brown, I think that would have made it stand out more. oh well, next time

Peachy keen challenge

my daughter suggested I enter this one in the Peachy Keen Challenge. #23 http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/
I used flowersoft to make my flowers. and cut a center in my paper using nestabilities and my cuttlebug. the yellow background is a piece of cardstock I've had for ages and just decided to use it up, it is very thick and gives the card some dimension.
thanks for looking

card # 18

I bought this green paper because I thought it looked cool. and I had the yellow for ages and never knew what to do with it, so I put it together with my flower soft flowers and it turned out alright.

card #17

while I had my flower soft out I decided to do this Christmas card. not my fave but its okay

card #16

I just loved the colors in this paper so I had to buy it, then I didn't know what to do with it, so I came up with this card. the ribbon matches perfectly and it was such a good buy. Michael's had the whole roll for $1.00. can't beat it.
my daughter suggested I enter this in the Color Q challenge.http://colourq.blogspot.com/ #21
thanks for looking.

card #15

I did this card for this weeks opus gluei challenge. it's quite subtle. I did silver background then I used photo paper and ran it through the cuttlebug, I used silver ribbon and I embossed silver on silver. the verse says and the two became one. I used the little hearts that were punched out of the border on the bottom.

card #14

I did this for the Opus Gluei challenge #42. I used glossy paper which looks nice but the ink does not like to dry and embossing made the paper bubble. thanks for looking

I just noticed that the picture has a black shadow on it. the card does not have that.the bottom panel is much the same as the top one.

365 challenge #13

this one is the zebra, it was fun to make but is my least favorite of the three.

365 challenge #12

this is my second favorite, it is the giraffe and the ribbon is really nice, I should have bought more, the picture definitely does not show how nice the ribbon is.

365 day challenge #11

I took a card class today and learned how to use alcohold inks. I was quite impressed, of course now I want to do more. the cards i did were from an Aftrican collection. my favorite is the elephant. I'm counting these as 3 towards the 365 day challenge because I'm so far behind.

this is the first one, it is the elephant, the picture really does not do it justice.

365 challenge #10

I made this card for my friend Esther's birthday. I scraplifted the idea of slicing the embossed part of the card from another site. (I'm not sure which one it was now), they had done this on a sympathy card and I thought it looked quite nice but definitely could be used for a bday card.

365 card challenge and my 365 #9

for this card I did iris folding around the cupid. though it doesn't show up to clearly in the picture. I also used my cuttlebug to emboss the hearts on the cardstock and the underlayer has hearts and candy on it.
I participated in these challenges

I made this card for my friend Darlene when her husband passed away. again it showed up sideways, and I have no idea why.
